Privacy Policy and Text Messaging Terms

This policy covers Midwest Truck Driving Schools LLC ("Midwest") and North Country Heavy Equipment School LLC ("North Country"), together "we," "us," or "our." It explains how we collect, use, and protect information you give us through midwesttradeschool.com, our forms, our website chat, phone calls, and text messages.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you give us, such as your name, mobile phone number, and email address.
  • Information about your training interests, such as the program you are asking about, when you hope to start, and whether you need lodging or help with funding.
  • Messages you send us by text, email, or website chat, and notes from calls with our admissions team.
  • Basic website data, such as pages visited and device or browser type, used to keep the site working and improve it.

How we use your information

  • To answer your questions about our programs, class dates, cost, funding options, and lodging.
  • To schedule and confirm calls with our admissions team and send reminders.
  • To follow up on your inquiry and support you through enrollment if you choose to enroll.
  • To meet legal, accreditation, and recordkeeping requirements.

Text messaging (SMS) program

Program description. When you give us your mobile number and check the consent box on our website forms or chat, you agree to receive text messages from Midwest Truck Driving School and North Country Heavy Equipment School at the number you provided. Messages are informational and relate to your inquiry: replies to your questions, follow up about the program you asked about, appointment scheduling, confirmations, and reminders. Some messages may be sent using automated technology.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your inquiry, typically up to a few messages per week while we are helping you.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.

Opting out. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further texts unless you opt in again. You can also ask us to stop texting you by calling or emailing us.

Consent is optional. Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of enrolling, buying any service, or speaking with our admissions team. You can still reach us by phone or email without opting in to texts.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text messaging opt-in consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

We may share information only:

  • With service providers that help us operate, such as our customer relationship management, scheduling, and messaging platforms. These providers may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Between Midwest and North Country, only to respond to your inquiry when you ask about programs at both schools.
  • With funding agencies or employers only when you ask us to, for example when you apply for veterans benefits, Michigan Works!, or employer sponsorship.
  • When required by law, regulation, or legal process.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Access is limited to staff and service providers who need it to help you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

How long we keep information

We keep information as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, support your training, and meet legal and accreditation recordkeeping requirements.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any text to stop text messages.
  • Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop those emails.
  • Contact us to ask what information we have about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law.

Children

Our programs and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
